For our “Bad Fanfiction Reading” (also known as the “Not a Fanfic…Panel”), groups of 2-3 are given prompts, characters, and locations from the A Song of Ice and Fire books. They have approximately thirty minutes to write up the worst fanfiction they can think of. How you interpret “bad” fanfiction is totally up to you! Bad prose, bad grammar, bad romance – any of the above or some combination, whatever you’d like!
The only restrictions are the warnings from the popular fanfiction website Archive of our Own. These are:
a. Graphic Depictions of Violence
b. Rape/Non-Con (nonconsensual/dubiously consensual content)
c. Underage (if your character is under the age of eighteen in the books and you intend to put them in a sexual situation, please age them up explicitly in your writing.)
d. The one exception is: Major Character Death. This is ASOIAF. You can kill whoever you want.
e. No racist/sexist/homophobic/
